Policy cancellation/ RefundA full refund can be requested within 10 days after purchase of policy provided that your coverage has not begun. Other scenarios in which refunds can be requested are: Visa denial Early return You become insured under provincial or territorial health/ medical plan
Waiting periodThe following waiting period will apply and no claims will be payable for any sickness for which signs and symptoms occurred within: 48 hours after your effective date if you purchased within 30 days after your date of departure from your country of origin .; or 7 days after your effective date if you purchased 30 days or more after your date of departure from your country of origin. Any sickness that manifests itself during the above waiting period is not covered even if the related expenses are incurred after the waiting period.
